Rodriguez Painting — Terms of Service (Interior/Exterior)
By accepting our estimate, paying a deposit, or scheduling work with Rodriguez Painting (“we/us”), you agree to these terms.
1) Scope & Estimates
- Our written estimate describes the areas, surfaces, and coatings included. Anything not listed is excluded.
- Estimates are valid for 30 days and may change if site conditions differ (e.g., damaged wood, water intrusion, lead paint, extra prep).
2) Scheduling & Text Messaging
- We’ll send appointment updates, scheduling changes, and service reminders by SMS/text.
- Message/data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out; reply HELP for help. Opting out may impact scheduling communications.
3) Access & Preparation
- Please provide access to the job site, power, and water during work hours.
- Remove small/fragile items and clear work areas. We protect floors, landscaping, and adjacent surfaces with reasonable care.
4) Surfaces, Colors & Materials
- You approve colors/finishes before work starts. Final appearance may vary by lighting, substrate, and sheen.
- We use quality materials appropriate for the surface unless otherwise requested in writing.
5) Weather & Delays (Exterior)
- Exterior work is weather-dependent. We may pause/reschedule for temperature, moisture, or wind conditions to ensure proper curing.
6) Change Orders & Hidden Conditions
- Additional work (e.g., carpentry repairs, rot, drywall issues) requires your approval and will be billed separately.
7) Payment
- A deposit may be required to reserve your date and materials. Balance is due upon substantial completion.
- Late balances may incur a late fee. We may suspend work until overdue balances are resolved.
8) Warranty
- Limited workmanship warranty for 1 year from completion against peeling/flaking due to application issues. Normal wear, moisture intrusion, movement, prior coating failure, and customer-supplied products are excluded.
9) Safety & Compliance
- We follow reasonable safety practices and applicable regulations. Lead testing/abatement, if required, is not included unless stated in writing.
10) Photos & Reviews
- With your permission, we may photograph completed areas for our portfolio/marketing. No private information will be shown.
11) Cancellations & Rescheduling
- Please give 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule. Short-notice cancellations may incur a reasonable fee.
12) Liability
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
13) Disputes & Governing Law
- These terms are governed by the laws of the state where the project is located. Parties will first attempt good-faith resolution before other remedies.
